Holidays in five star resorts on the Bay of Biscay can only mean hot, sunny weather and warm, blue seas and when looking for hotels San Sebastian has many that offer stunning views and facilities that help to make the most of the gorgeous weather.

When faced with a large choice of hotels San Sebastian have many different kinds to choose from, including those that have stunning river or garden views, those that have views across the beach and ocean and then there are those that have views across San Sebastian and the bay itself.

No matter where you decide to stay, your spacious, en-suite bedroom will come with air conditioning, so you can ensure that you have a comfortable temperature at all times and a marble bathroom that has a separate bath and shower, a double sink and complementary bathrobe and slippers.

All rooms are stylish but when choosing hotels San Sebastian has those that have made their own unique stamp on the area, including some that feature dark wood furnishings and are contemporarily decorated, whereas others have a more minimalist feel to them, with large windows that flood the room with natural light. Some of the designer hotels in this area are located in architecturally stunning buildings, some that date back to the 19th century.

There are many different kinds of food experiences available at the hotels in this part of Spain, ranging from Vietnamese cuisine to dishes that have a distinct regional and local flavor. There is also an a la carte menu, one which offers sandwiches and other mixed dishes, together with a fixed price menu which is available on certain days of the week. Staff at the hotel will be happy to help and give you more information on the hotel restaurants and bistros.

There will also be the opportunity to enjoy grilled meat and tapas, prepared with fresh, seasonal vegetables, on the outdoor summer terrace with other guests at the hotel, or indeed, enjoy a cocktail or two on the sea front, prepared by staff in the hotel bar.

There are plenty of things to see and do in San Sebastian but if you don't feel like leaving the hotel, then you may want to pay a visit to the luxurious hotel spa, where you can enjoy a relaxing full body massage, a refreshing facial or even a seaweed body wrap. These take place in one of the many dedicated treatment rooms so guests can always ensure their privacy. You will often also find a sauna and steam room within the wellness center and spa and if you enjoy working out, then the hotel's dedicated fitness area has personal trainers on hand to ensure that you are training safely. And you don't need to worry about the children, as many of these hotels have a safe playground dedicated to the younger visitors to the hotel.

As the weather can be very warm and sunny during the spring and summer months, many of these hotels in San Sebastian have seasonal outdoor swimming pools, as well as indoor one if you are traveling to the area in the cooler months.

Also known as Basque country, San Sebastian has many beautiful beaches, but none more so that the Playa de la Concha. With an excellent reputation as being extremely clean and well maintained, this popular beach is sheltered by Mount Urgull which lies to one side. There are also changing rooms and lockers and showers for swimmers and sunbathers to use once they have spent the day in the sun and the sea. But the best thing has to be that it is completely free to use this stunning, sandy beach (there may be a small charge for the lockers and changing rooms however).

If you want to get out of the sun for a while, then why not visit the aquarium? An excellent family day out, the aquarium also includes an oceanographic museum that tells the story of the history of the sea life that can be found in the local area. With life-size displays of the many different species of marine life in and around the Bay, there is also a clear, overhead tunnel that visitors can walk through and see close up the sea life, such as sharks and turtles, that now live in the aquarium.
